The lobby was undercontruction which was really annoying and made me feel like I was staying in a cardboard box. The bar was very nice and server was very sweet. The rooms seemed pretty dirty for a w and apparently they were just renovated in 2007. The carpets needed to be stretched and we had to share a sink! Wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Really nice bed in double room with a private safe, central heating, and an iron. In an amazing location next to nightclubs and restaurants. At 25 km distance from the airport.
Absolutely rude staff!

Everything was high quality, the hotel was fancy. The restaurant was TERRIFIC especially for breakfast here, I had delicious dishes. Also, location was magnificent, just a short stroll away from My Heart. The venue was set in a fantastic area.

Not many choices for dining.... should include tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

great location with some dining limitations
The location offers easy access to the city center. Breakfast served at the table is a nice detail, though limited to one main course.

Way too expensive for the room. Minimal amenities and small "spectacular king" room. I would NOT recommend this hotel for any reason. In SF there are so many other more affordable and equally appointed hotels.

The room I was eventually put in had a decent view of the bay bridge
I arrived at the hotel in a taxi, the taxi drop off is located at the side of the hotel. After exiting the taxi I had to walk around to the front and hold the doors open for the bell/porter carrying my luggage. Then reception couldnt find my booking, after about 15mins they 'upgraded' me to a smaller room than I originally booked. The room was very small, the decoration of the room wasnt to my liking, compared to their sister hotel w Hollywood this hotel was very poor

Had a wonderful experience at the W in San Francisco. , and the room had stunning views and a cozy ambiance. The room was a bit small, and housekeeping was intrusive despite our requests. A good stay.

upscale, friendly helpful staff. The building showed some signs of its age with the ceiling, back hallways of the spa etc however the rooms were beautiful, they honoured my Starwood membership and upgraded my room and the lounge was fantastic.
The spa. The staff was friendly but the atmosphere is anything but relaxing. Clinical is the best description.
